Time Check: 00:21H
Yesterday was my last day at work in Theatres. The year I’ve spent in this place made me realise loads of things about myself and what I want in my career. I want interaction with patients; I want to be actively involved in the care. I’ve also learned that I won’t put up with some surgeon’s attitudes at giving them everything they demand for; 🙄😂 That I’m not built for this type of job, and that it just made me so unhappy. So, I quit (after I got a new job offer course). It was bitter sweet though, cause as much as I didn’t enjoy the actual work, I had plenty of fun with the people I worked with. I was wretched to leave just because of them. 😢

I wonder what my future will be in my new post. Wish me luck!

#AdultingJoys

As I age, I no longer fancy the same things. As much as I want to keep exploring and fill my journal with amazing charrozcaldos, I just can’t always live with that hyped up lifestyle anymore. Hence, I discovered a whole new side of me perfectly contented inside the corners of my home, or keeping my turf as pleasant
as it could be! I’ve always been a homebuddy anyway but I think I took it to a whole new level now that I’m older. Here are some of my domesticated self discoveries, habits and guilty pleasures:

  • Ikea/any home shopping > outlet shopping
  • THREAD COUNT MATTERS
  • You can never have too many sheets.
  • Quality > quantity. Just because it’s cheap, doesn’t mean you have to buy it.
  • House must haves: scented candles, diffusers, spray
  • Grocery shopping is so therapeutic. I enjoy my mental computations on everything in my basket/trolley
  • Bleach puhleeeease. I’m on the OC side so I should always have this in stock. One down and upstairs.
  • Fire extinguishers and safety blanket
  • Costco black bags (with ties) are the best.
  • I always have at least 1 spare of each condiments (just in case we run out.)
  • At least 2 ice cream tubs or popsicles are required in the fridge in case of any emergency.
  • Fridge must have: Ice cubes
  • I love dipping everything in vinegar so  I have this pre-made mixture in a tin which has garlic and onions and pepper.
  • Medyo-secret stash: chocolate and gummy bears
  • For some reason, I prefer using the liquid detergent capsules than the powder. Idk but whateva
  • Sun dried clothes is love. Nothing can ever compare.
  • Invest in a high quality vacuum
  • Must have: FAN. Once I bought a cheap one but it just suddenly and literally collapsed on the floor and stopped working. I require a heavy duty one cause I use it even on winter.
  • Fridge must have: a bottle or 2 of wine.
  • One fully organised and labelled folder container for all the important files. Make sure it has a handle so in case of emergency, it’s less hassle.
  • Invest in quality knives and pots.
  • Fridge must have: japanese mayo!!!
  • It is cheaper to buy groceries at ALDI or LIDL than the rest of the big names!
  • Always have lemon. Always
  • Guilty pleasure: panties!!!

Time check: 00:28h! I should get some sleep by now cause I’m bank in the next few hours! I’ll catch up with you again later. Ta!

Midweek Lately’s

I’m baaaaaaaaaack! :)

I know andami ko pang hanash baker na goodbye wordpress and all but I realised na this is were I wanted to be! Chaaaaar!

L A T E L Y, I’ve been . . .

Watching

Orange is the new black’s season 5 finale. All 13 episodes took me 3 days. As far as the story goes, I think the first and second season parin ang da best. The later seasons were somewhat dragging in some parts but I still liked the storyline. And I like finishing what I started. Feeling ko sobrang accomplished nako kahit sa paraan lang ng panonood ng tv series.

LSS’ed to
Dua lipa and Miguel’s “Lost in your light”. Yung bawat adlib kabisado na! Pati housemates ko ata naririndi na dito sa song na to, add to that ang current obsession ko ke Dua. Bat ang ganda niya medyo natitiburcia aketch!  I think I wanna see her live. Macheck nga mga gig niya…

Trying to

Yes. Diet. AGAIN. Ang hirap. Parang di kaya ng sistema ko na walang rice. Pero I have to get into a healthier shape for myself. Sacrifice ika nga nila. Minsan nga lang pag break time sa work nakaka iyak yung feeling na everyone’s eating their deliciously prepared meals (na with kanin) pero ako nga-nga. Tiis tiis muna bakla. Para to sa future.

Thinking

I would always consider myself a realoptimist. (Okay fine imbento ko lang yan, realist + optimist = pak! Alam niyo na yan guyz!). The whole month of May, pak! Walang palya sobrang rain ng rain ng mga blessings. Love, career, friendship may na-achieve akong mga gifts from these aspects of my life. I was still on a high when a bad news hit me- my Nana Lit passed away. The rational side of me anticipated this already. That’s the way mind usually works. Inaanticipate ko na LAHAT ng pwedeng mangyari. Mentally, alam ko na to. But emotionally, diko parin pala kaya. ang sakit parin, lalo pa’l I’m miles away from my family.
